Junior Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a proactive Junior Analyst to join the team in Auckland, New Zealand. This full-time, on-site position is suited to someone who is analytical, accurate, and eager to build experience in a professional business setting. The role supports business operations and decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, and process support.

What you will do

• Gather, sort, and evaluate operational and business data.
• Build reports, slide decks, and concise analytical summaries for management.
• Spot patterns, trends, and areas where performance can be improved.
• Assist with planning, forecasting, and tracking business performance.
• Keep databases up to date and help ensure data remains accurate and reliable.
• Carry out research and turn findings into useful business insights.
• Work with internal stakeholders to collect information and clarify requirements.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives and efficiency projects.
• Handle ad hoc analysis and general administrative support when needed.
• Support senior analysts and leadership on ongoing assignments.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, finance, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a similar field. Fresh graduates and applicants with entry-level experience are welcome. You should bring strong analytical thinking, solid problem-solving ability, and good communication and organization skills. Attention to detail is important, along with the ability to balance several tasks at once. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite is expected, and familiarity with data analysis tools or business intelligence platforms will be an advantage. Applicants must also be legally permitted to work in New Zealand.
