Role overview
Orbital Critical Systems, part of the CAF Group, develops safety-critical software for aerospace, defence, and transport. The company is hiring Junior Avionics Engineers focused on ground and flight testing to work with on-site teams in Germany and contribute to strategic Airbus-related projects.
Locations
Possible project locations include Manching, Donauwörth, Ulm, and additional sites within Germany.
Compensation and support
The annual salary range for this role is €50,000 to €65,000. The company also provides help with accommodation searches, German language training, full relocation assistance, and administrative support. For the first year, the company covers the German tax return process. The position comes with a permanent German contract and long-term project work.

Responsibilities
- Prepare avionics ground-test and flight-test activities, including flight test programs.
- Carry out ground tests on aircraft and monitor flight tests in real time.
- Review test data, identify deviations, and document findings in reports.
- Develop analysis tools and software, and help define technical requirements.
- Work closely with design, development, and testing teams across functions.
Requirements
- A degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Practical experience in avionics testing and data analysis.
- English proficiency at B2/C1 level, which is mandatory.
- German proficiency at B1/B2 level, which is mandatory.
- Citizenship of a European country is required.
