Junior Buyer

Role overview

The Commercial team is hiring a Junior Buyer to help manage product selection, supplier coordination, stock performance, and purchasing activities. This role supports day-to-day buying operations while contributing to better margins, inventory health, and promotional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside Buyers and Category Managers on choosing products and evaluating suppliers.
• Source merchandise that balances quality with competitive pricing.
• Assist with sales planning, forecasting, and reporting on business performance.
• Track sales trends, profitability, stock availability, and inventory turnover.
• Help maintain the right stock levels and support clearance plans for slow-moving or excess inventory.
• Coordinate advertising and promotional initiatives with internal stakeholders.
• Research the market and suppliers to uncover new opportunities.
• Keep purchasing documentation, records, and reports accurate and up to date.
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve favorable commercial terms.

Qualifications and skills

• A bachelor's degree from a recognized university is required.
• Applicants should have 0 to 2 years of experience in buying, procurement, or a similar field.
• Previous retail buying exposure is considered an advantage.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is needed.
• Strong command of Excel and general computer tools is expected.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities are important for this role.
• The ideal candidate should be results-driven and demonstrate strong personal integrity.
