Role Summary
The Junior Logistics Officer will assist with the everyday activities of the logistics team, including fleet coordination, stock monitoring, and management of shipment-related records. The role involves close interaction with carriers, warehouse personnel, and suppliers to support timely dispatches and accurate shipment documentation. A working familiarity with the Dubai and Sharjah customs online portal is required.
Core Duties
- Support the planning, scheduling, and tracking of shipments so deliveries reach on time.
- Prepare, review, and organize transport and shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs forms, while ensuring they align with applicable local and international rules.
- Coordinate regularly with freight forwarders, couriers, and transport service providers.
- Record shipment data accurately in Excel and the freight order system, and help compile weekly reports.
- Use Microsoft Excel confidently, including functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Apply a practical understanding of transport regulations, Incoterms, and customs processes.
- Communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams in both spoken and written form.
- Work effectively in a busy environment with tight deadlines.
- Arabic language ability and possession of a light or heavy driving license will be considered an advantage.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Working knowledge of planning, purchasing, and logistics procedures and policies.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, along with ERP software.
- Previous HVAC industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is also preferred.
- Strong negotiation ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
