Job description

Role overview

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Production Supervisor to manage daily operations at a manufacturing site in Sharjah. This position suits someone who can coordinate people, equipment, quality, and safety while keeping production moving efficiently and on schedule. The role calls for leadership ability, familiarity with coatings-related manufacturing, and a strong focus on delivering output targets without compromising standards.

What you will do

  • Run everyday production activities, including control of the raw material store.
  • Direct the team on shift, allocate duties, and provide clear instructions.
  • Make sure manufacturing follows batch cards and the company’s management systems.
  • Support workforce training and ensure jobs are assigned appropriately.
  • Oversee maintenance technicians and confirm equipment inspections are completed.
  • Work with the Production Planner to coordinate batch scheduling and on-time delivery.
  • Handle ERP stock movements and posting transactions.
  • Implement fire and safety rules and serve as an active member of the firefighting team.
  • Monitor departmental expenses, including overtime control.
  • Keep production records and related documentation up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Promote a safe and healthy workplace in line with HSE requirements.
  • Follow SOP, QMS, EMS, and OHSAS systems in daily work.
  • Manage production line activities and coordinate with other functions as needed.
  • Supervise site upkeep and support both preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Track daily plans and make sure material stock remains available.

What we are looking for

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • About 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, environmental management systems, and health and safety practices.
  • Ability to interpret batch cards, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset and commercial awareness.

Additional information

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Sharjah, Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The position is at associate seniority level and sits within Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production functions in the chemicals industry.
