Kitchen Helper

Overview

This role supports day-to-day kitchen and food service activities at a Petro-Canada location in Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The position is based on site, so all work must be performed at the physical workplace rather than remotely.

Language

English is required.

Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience

Training will be provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect dishwashing mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Clear used dishes, trays, and chairs from tables and clean the surfaces.
• Put clean dishes away in the designated storage area.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and other items by hand.
• Pack food for take-out orders.
• Portion, wrap, heat, and complete simple food items.
• Replenish refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customer orders.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work areas, cupboards, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
• Store cleaning supplies safely and appropriately.
• Receive deliveries, unpack supplies, and organize them in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• Remove kitchen waste and trash.
• Sharpen kitchen knives.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
