Job description
Role snapshot
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing appealing meals and overseeing the full production flow in the kitchen. You will make sure that ecological and economic standards are respected while maintaining strict hygiene practices. The role also includes supporting colleagues with your professional know-how to help create a smooth and cooperative working environment.
The assignment is initially limited to 18 months. A transition to a permanent role may be possible after a successful collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare meals each day for around 400 diners together with the team.
- Check incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with HACCP rules.
- Independently produce dishes according to recipes and support serving as well as cleaning tasks.
- Assemble buffets for company events, anniversary celebrations, and meetings.
- Recognize industry trends early and adapt the menu offering proactively.
- Follow statutory hygiene and safety regulations and ensure a balanced, high-quality food offering.
What you bring
You should have completed training as a cook and already gained relevant experience in gastronomy. A genuine interest in culinary trends, strong commitment to sustainability, good interpersonal skills, and enjoyment in speaking with guests are all important. Creative thinking and the ability to turn new ideas into practice are also valued. In addition, you need good German in speaking and writing, basic English, and solid PC skills, especially in MS Word and Teams.
