Role Overview
Orion is seeking a Graphic Design Manager or Senior Manager to define the visual direction across its most important marketing touchpoints. This role requires a designer with strong graphic design fundamentals who is also comfortable editing video for social channels. The ideal candidate has excellent typography and visual judgment, and can make sophisticated technology feel elegant, premium, and approachable. Work will span email, paid social, and organic social content, moving from concept through to finished brand-aligned assets. The exact level will be determined based on background and experience. A portfolio must be included with the application.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop marketing creative for multiple channels, including email, paid social, site graphics, and related digital placements.
- Turn technical product information into clear, attractive, and persuasive marketing visuals and experiences.
- Build email campaigns and lifecycle templates that reflect the brand and support conversion goals.
- Produce paid social advertisements and organic content for platforms such as Meta and TikTok, including static assets and short-form video.
- Protect and refine the Orion visual system so the brand remains consistent and high-quality across every customer touchpoint.
- Work closely with marketing, growth, and product teams to interpret briefs, set priorities, and deliver work quickly.
Experience and Skills
The role calls for at least 5 years of graphic design experience and a portfolio that shows strong typography, layout, and brand awareness. Candidates should be comfortable creating and editing short-form video for social media, and should have practical experience designing email creative, paid ads, homepage banners, and organic social posts. Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Figma is expected. Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut is preferred, and motion design or 3D product visualization would be an advantage. The ideal person is organized, self-directed, able to juggle multiple priorities, and quick to deliver high-quality work. A refined eye for design, technology, and contemporary culture is important, along with the ability to make a premium tech product feel aspirational. Openness to feedback, adaptability, urgency, and a collaborative mindset are essential. The team also values positivity, inclusion, and a willingness to contribute across functions in a fast-moving startup environment. A portfolio is required.
Work Location
This position is based in Soho, New York City, and follows a 5-day in-office schedule.
Compensation
Estimated annual pay for this role is $90,000 to $150,000.
