Job description

Role overview

KPMG has been selected as the learning services partner for The Skills Academy, a new initiative supporting capability development across the Western Australian public sector. The program will serve more than 35,000 employees from 56 participating agencies through a modern learning platform and a portfolio of 120 courses developed with input from over 150 subject matter experts.

As a Learning Coordinator, you will be the primary contact for learners, stakeholders, and client representatives within a managed learning service. The role focuses on delivering responsive, professional frontline support through phone, email, and ticketing channels, making sure enquiries are handled promptly, routed correctly, resolved where possible, or escalated when needed. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Perth, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls through the Skills Academy contact centre while following the required greeting and service standards.
  • Handle course bookings, changes to enrolments, and cancellations in line with established policies.
  • Assist with event logistics, including attendee lists, pre-session messaging, and general coordination queries.
  • Log, classify, and maintain tickets accurately within the service platform.
  • Provide basic support for password resets, access problems, and simple troubleshooting issues.
  • Identify recurring issues, service gaps, and improvement opportunities to help strengthen service delivery.

Required experience and capabilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background in customer service and/or contact centre work.
  • Comfort working in a structured environment with clear processes and procedures.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and similar digital workplace tools.

Desirable background

  • Experience using learning managed services platforms.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems.
  • Interest in learning, education, training, or professional development environments.
