Job description

About the organisation

This New Zealand-owned KiwiSaver and wealth management business is focused on helping customers make better long-term financial decisions and improve retirement outcomes. The organisation is purpose-led, values learning and empowerment, and encourages people to contribute ideas that strengthen both the business and the wider community.

Role overview

The Learning Partner will support learning and capability development across the business. Working closely with the Performance and Capability Coach, this role will take ownership of the coordination, systems, reporting, and daily operations that help create a smooth and effective learning experience.

The position also involves facilitating training, supporting program rollouts, and designing practical learning experiences that employees can apply on the job. A key part of the role is helping the business build confidence in AI-enabled ways of working by delivering foundational learning and supporting AI tools and assistants.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of learning activities, including systems, records, reports, and routine coordination.
  • Support and deliver training sessions, workshops, onboarding, and team-based learning activities.
  • Assist in building, refining, and preparing learning programs, materials, and supporting resources.
  • Deliver foundational learning in AI and cybersecurity, while helping maintain AI-enabled learning tools and supporting digital adoption.
  • Partner with the Performance and Capability Coach on capability initiatives, leadership programs, and learning interventions.
  • Keep learning documents, resources, and SharePoint content current, organised, and easy to access.
  • Promote a growth mindset and provide practical learning support to employees and leaders across the business.
  • Track learning activity, monitor budgets, and produce insights that support improvement and decision-making.

What you will bring

You should be a well-organised, proactive learning professional who is comfortable working across people, capability, operations, and technology. The role suits someone who can manage coordination tasks confidently while also contributing to engaging learning delivery.

You will need strong experience with digital tools and an interest in AI-enabled working practices. Confidence in facilitating learning and supporting practical training experiences is important, along with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Experience and capability required

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent mix of knowledge and practical experience, plus at least 5 years in a similar or related position.
  • A solid understanding of adult learning principles and workplace training.
  • Background supporting facilitation, workshop coordination, and training delivery.
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled tools or digital working methods, with the ability to help others adopt them.
  • Experience managing learning content, systems, and knowledge repositories.
  • Hands-on capability with LMS platforms, authoring tools, and Office 365.
  • Strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Clear communication and strong stakeholder relationship skills.
  • A practical, improvement-minded approach with a focus on solving problems and refining processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.

Benefits and workplace highlights

  • Hybrid working model that supports balance between home and office life.
  • Competitive base salary plus a bonus paid twice yearly, along with an additional KiwiSaver contribution.
  • Corporate benefits and other employee perks.
  • Health insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and discounted gym membership.
  • Structured induction, study assistance, and ongoing learning support.
  • A proactive health and wellbeing committee that runs activities and initiatives supporting social connection, community, and mental wellbeing.
  • Central Auckland CBD office location in a comfortable workplace.

Application requirements

Applicants should provide a CV and a cover letter explaining their interest in the role and how they are suited to it. Candidates must have a valid visa to work full-time in New Zealand.
