Where you'll work
Job description
Overview
QuestGates is hiring an experienced Liability Adjuster for its Loss Adjusting team in Ireland. The role focuses on handling Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, and Motor claims across Meath, Dublin, and the East Coast. It is suited to a technically capable claims professional who can work autonomously, communicate confidently with clients, and consistently deliver strong outcomes.
What the role involves
You will assess liability claims using your technical judgment and practical claims experience, producing clear and well-structured reports for clients. The position calls for a strong client-service mindset, close attention to service levels and regulatory expectations, and the ability to present evidence and findings in a professional manner.
You will investigate liability by collecting, reviewing, and analysing relevant evidence, then using that information to form clear conclusions for client reports. The role also involves assessing quantum, including the use of the IRB Personal Injury Guidelines.
Success in this position will depend on initiative, good judgement, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service on behalf of QuestGates Ireland.
Skills and experience needed
The ideal candidate will bring solid knowledge of Employers’ Liability and Occupiers’ Liability principles, along with a clear understanding of the legal and practical framework relevant to EL, PL, and Motor claims. You should be confident investigating claims in depth, identifying the key issues, and following appropriate lines of enquiry.
Strong written and verbal communication, good IT skills, and comfort using claims management systems are essential. You should also demonstrate integrity, professional conduct, and the ability to set a strong example for others.
The role requires someone who can manage a varied and active caseload while keeping on top of SLAs, service commitments, and regulatory standards. Experience handling liability claims such as Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, Product Liability, and Motor claims would be a strong advantage. A minimum of three years’ liability claims experience is required, and insurance or adjusting qualifications such as APA, CIP, or ACII are relevant.
Working pattern
This is a 35-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours. The schedule does not always need to follow a standard 9:00am to 5:00pm pattern. The position offers a high level of autonomy and can be performed fully from home or from the office, giving the successful candidate meaningful control over how they organise their time.
This flexibility is intended to support a better work-life balance and may suit someone who needs room to coordinate personal and family commitments around their work.
Compensation and benefits
The salary offered is between €45,000 and €60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The package also includes an enhanced contributory pension, a performance-related bonus, flexible benefits, enhanced family leave, voluntary benefits schemes, a birthday holiday, and a share purchase scheme with interest-free loans.
Application details
Applications close at the end of business on Friday 26 June 2026. Early applications are encouraged because interviews may begin before the closing date. For further information or to apply, contact [email protected] by the closing date.
