About the Role
Intrax Land is a well-established surveying, geotechnical, and civil consultancy delivering reliable, high-standard work across Australia. Its survey function uses current technology to provide accurate and cost-conscious solutions for residential, construction, and land development projects.
Due to a strong and expanding project pipeline, the NSW team is seeking a Licensed Surveyor to work with respected developers, builders, and consultants. This position goes beyond day-to-day delivery: it also involves helping shape the future direction, structure, and capability of the team.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to help rebuild and strengthen the NSW surveying team, improve how work is delivered, and support the development of emerging survey professionals.
If you want a position where your contribution can make a lasting impact, this opportunity is designed for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of survey assignments from start to finish, maintaining accuracy, compliance, and quality throughout.
- Prepare and lodge surveying documentation with the relevant NSW authorities.
- Track work in progress against budgets and keep project schedules under control.
- Deliver cadastral surveying and subdivision outcomes.
- Help grow capability within the team by contributing to development and mentoring.
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure all outputs meet required quality standards.
Work Arrangement
The role is mainly based in the office, with hybrid flexibility available. Fieldwork will be required when projects call for it.
What You Need to Bring
- A degree in Surveying and current registration as a Licensed Surveyor in NSW.
- Strong knowledge of NSW cadastral legislation and subdivision procedures.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, team-oriented approach to solving problems.
Additional Strengths That Will Help You Stand Out
- Eligibility to act as a Supervising Surveyor for PTA candidates in NSW.
- A genuine interest in rebuilding mentoring and development capability within the team.
- Comfort working in a role that helps define standards and strengthen capability.
- Confidence to influence decisions and challenge constructively when required.
- Experience with Leica equipment or comparable advanced survey technology.
What the Employer Offers
- Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid options.
- Support for ongoing professional development and further study.
- Mentoring and exposure to leadership in the workplace.
- Up to 4 additional weeks of purchased annual leave.
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers and 4 weeks for secondary carers.
- Volunteer leave.
- Health and wellbeing initiatives, plus access to an Employee Assistance Program.
Technology and Tools
The organisation invests in modern survey instruments, software, and GIS platforms so work can be completed accurately, efficiently, and with an innovative approach.
