About the Role
IDS International is hiring a Logistician II to support supply chain and logistics activities in a Department of Defense setting. This position is centered on keeping materials, equipment, and property properly managed, traceable, and available so mission needs are met without disruption. The role calls for hands-on experience with Army supply systems, procurement workflows, and property accountability.
The work is based in Muscatatuck, Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full flow of supply operations, including ordering, receiving, storage, and issue of materials.
- Assist with procurement and contracting tasks in a government or military environment.
- Keep property records accurate, including hand receipts and inventory control.
- Carry out inventories of Army property and maintain precise documentation.
- Move urgent supplies quickly and identify alternate sourcing options when needed.
- Follow Army logistics rules along with FAR and DFARS requirements.
- Use systems such as CHESS to support procurement and lifecycle management activities.
- Coordinate logistics work that helps maintain operational readiness.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is preferred, although equivalent experience may substitute for the degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Army Supply and Services Career Management Field.
- At least 3 years of procurement or contracting experience, ideally in a government or military setting.
- Practical experience with supply operations such as ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing.
- Background in property accountability and hand receipt management.
- Experience with inventory management for Army property.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, Army procurement procedures, and the CHESS system.
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move moderate weight, usually under 20 pounds, though this may vary by assignment.
- Regular and dependable attendance is essential.
