Job description
Role Summary
This is a contract-based remote opportunity for a Logistics Manager to support a client’s supply chain operations from anywhere. The position is centered on improving how procurement, logistics, and inventory activities are planned and executed, with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and business continuity.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and coordinate supply chain activities such as purchasing, logistics, and inventory handling to support reliable and cost-effective product movement.
- Review existing processes, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and put improvements in place to strengthen performance and reduce spend.
- Work with teams across sales, marketing, and product development to keep communication aligned and operations moving smoothly.
- Create and apply supply chain plans, including risk reduction and contingency measures, to limit disruption and protect ongoing operations.
- Track supply chain performance using KPIs and other metrics, then report findings to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- A solid grasp of supply chain fundamentals, including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and process optimization.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills for working with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with comfort using data to guide operational decisions.
- Hands-on familiarity with supply chain systems and software, including Micro1, plus the ability to adapt quickly to new tools.
- Good business judgment and the ability to connect supply chain work to broader company goals and growth.
