This position suits someone who takes initiative, improves systems, and drives operational results in a fast-changing environment.

Logistics and Supply Chain

  • Oversee the transfer of raw materials, finished goods, and operational supplies among three Chattanooga locations.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight so customer deliveries stay on schedule and production keeps moving.
  • Work with vendors, carriers, and customers to manage scheduling, routing, and problem resolution.
  • Improve transportation planning, freight spend, and carrier effectiveness.

Warehouse Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a warehouse team of 10 to 15 employees, including scheduling, performance oversight, and training.
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse activity such as receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and stock control.
  • Maintain safe, orderly, and productive warehouse conditions across all sites.
  • Refine layout, workflow, and space use to support business growth.

Inventory and Materials Control

  • Administer raw material stock such as paperboard, films, foils, and other supplies to keep production supplied without interruption.
  • Track and manage finished goods inventory to support accurate storage and timely order fulfillment.
  • Create and enforce inventory control methods, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Keep ERP/MRP records accurate and current.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Coordinate with production, scheduling, procurement, and customer service teams to align materials and logistics with demand.
  • Support production planning by ensuring materials are available and internal transfers run efficiently.
  • Serve as a key connection point between operations, suppliers, and customers.

Continuous Improvement and Strategy

  • Assess existing logistics and warehouse processes, then close gaps with scalable best practices.
  • Drive improvement efforts that increase efficiency, reduce costs, raise accuracy, and strengthen service levels.
  • Use data to fine-tune inventory levels, improve inventory turns, and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
  • Set KPIs and reporting mechanisms for warehouse and logistics performance.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety rules, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
  • Help foster a strong safety-first culture throughout logistics and warehouse operations.

Work Environment
