About the Role
UCC Holding is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for overseeing and optimizing the company's inventory management and resource distribution across all projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining inventory strategies, eliminating obsolete stock, and ensuring efficient allocation of organizational resources under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective logistics principles, policies, and processes to enhance organizational operational and financial performance.
- Ensure the precision and punctuality of all inventory transactions and the physical flow of materials from reception to distribution.
- Create and deploy tools and methods for efficient logistics plan execution, including establishing standard operating procedures for streamlined logistics operations.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of a forward-thinking logistics strategy, policies, and procedures to boost operational effectiveness.
- Manage and assess logistics operations by collaborating with internal teams, vendors, service providers, carriers, and clients.
- Provide effective solutions to logistics challenges while maintaining high standards of quality and service within budget constraints.
- Address and resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, international trade, and customer concerns.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts, identifying areas for increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Maintain the accuracy of inventory records and oversee stock movements with the support of direct reports.
- Investigate and rectify inventory discrepancies, ensuring alignment between physical stock and system records.
- Analyze logistics data, interpret trends, and present actionable insights to stakeholders to improve customer service and reduce costs.
- Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, actively participate in safety awareness programs, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in accordance with company and Integrated Management System (IMS) policies.
Additional Information
This role requires a minimum of 15 years of overall working experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant logistics management capacity. Prior experience in the GCC region is considered a significant advantage.
