Job description

Position Summary

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while protecting financial performance, team accountability, and customer satisfaction. The role focuses on spotting issues early, improving processes, and making sure execution stays consistent across every department and service line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track financial and operational performance metrics, including profit and loss, KPIs, gross margin, billing, commissions, and account results.
  • Direct employee reviews, coaching efforts, and accountability programs to strengthen performance.
  • Assist with onboarding new customers, preparing bids, and building quotes.
  • Make sure customers continue to receive dependable and consistent service.
  • Manage dispatch activities, warehouse operations, freight accounts, and distributed remote teams.
  • Oversee schedules, attendance, and overtime management across staff.
  • Confirm that audits, reports, and other operational deliverables are completed within required timelines.
  • Support extended service regions and special operating programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with TMS platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organization and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Comfort working across multiple teams and business groups.
