About The Role

Join our Hamilton plant in Pukete, a facility that has been producing Melteca board for over 40 years, a material found in homes, schools, hospitals, retirement villages, and commercial buildings. As a Machine Operator, you will be a crucial part of our safety-focused production environment. As you develop your skills, you will be responsible for setting machine parameters, monitoring system performance, making adjustments using digital control panels, operating forklifts, conducting quality control, and troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and smooth production. This role involves rotating shifts: 4 days on and 4 days off, with 2 days and 2 nights, totaling a 42-hour week.

Requirements for Success

• A minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in safely and efficiently operating industrial machinery and forklifts.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to upholding quality standards in a safe work environment.
• Must be physically fit, capable of occasional shared lifting up to 25 kg, and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, possessing strong technical aptitude for practical application.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Basic computer literacy for navigating digital control systems.
• A Class 1 Full Driver's Licence is preferred, and an OSH Forklift Licence is advantageous.
