Job description

Role Overview

This full-time, non-management engineering and facilities role is based in Riyadh’s Financial District at Al Aqeeq Street. The position focuses on keeping guest areas, equipment, and building systems running smoothly by handling repair requests, carrying out preventive maintenance, and supporting daily operational readiness.

Key Duties

  • Respond to guest repair requests and work with guests or customers to resolve maintenance concerns.
  • Carry out preventive upkeep on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Inspect tools, machines, and equipment visually to spot issues early.
  • Transport tools and other needed equipment, including radios, as required.
  • Locate and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for equipment and buildings.
  • Track maintenance stock and request parts and supplies when needed.
  • Share daily work progress and issues with other shifts using approved communication tools and standards.
  • Apply working knowledge of systems such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, finish work, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy-saving practices, and general building systems.
  • Handle surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb replacements, A/C filter changes, and complete cleanup after repair or painting work.
  • Test, diagnose, and complete basic repairs on plumbing, electrical items, guestroom devices, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, outlets, and similar equipment.
  • Program TVs and complete general housekeeping and engineering inventory tasks.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before starting maintenance work.
  • Repair interior and exterior landscaping features, including sprinkler systems.
  • Use basic computer functions such as entering air handler schedules and adjusting temperature settings.
  • Observe company policies, safety rules, and security procedures, including reporting hazards, incidents, injuries, and maintenance issues.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications, and store flammable materials correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential and company information.
  • Greet guests in line with brand standards, respond to service needs promptly, and assist guests with disabilities when needed.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues, communicate clearly, and support shared team goals.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier tasks with help, climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders, and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed.
  • Use computers to access and enter work-related information and complete any other reasonable tasks assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Some background in general maintenance, including exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
  • Prior experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage.
  • No previous supervisory experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
