Role overview
The Maintenance Engineer will keep production lines, utilities, and facility assets running reliably at a perfume manufacturing plant. The position is centered on reducing interruptions, improving equipment efficiency, building preventive maintenance routines, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality expectations.
Work location
Jeddah Third Industrial City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment.
- Diagnose and fix issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Track machine performance and look for ways to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures to limit production stoppages.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment service histories.
- Support maintenance of perfume filling lines, mixing tanks, labeling machines, packaging equipment, compressors, HVAC units, and plant utilities.
- Perform routine inspections of machinery and factory facilities.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
- Control spare-parts inventory and ensure availability of essential components.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. The role calls for 3 to 5 years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in perfume, cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is preferred. Candidates should understand preventive maintenance systems, utilities, and production machinery, and be familiar with CMMS and maintenance planning tools. Good English is needed, and Arabic is an advantage.
