Make Up Artist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Makeup Artist to deliver expert beauty consultations and premium makeup services in a luxury retail setting in Doha. The role blends artistry, client service, sales focus, and day-to-day counter upkeep to create a polished customer experience.

Makeup Consultation and Application

• Offer tailored makeup consultations, including accurate shade matching and complete looks based on each customer’s preferences.
• Apply advanced techniques across complexion, eye makeup, lip work, and special-event looks.
• Create a refined and engaging beauty experience that reflects luxury brand expectations.
• Guide customers on routines, techniques, and product use in a clear, confident manner.

Sales and Product Knowledge

• Work toward individual sales goals by suggesting products that fit the customer’s needs and the look being created.
• Keep current with beauty trends, new product launches, formulas, and color stories.
• Highlight hero products, new arrivals, and seasonal ranges.
• Use cross-selling and upselling techniques to increase basket size and customer value.

Store Standards and Presentation

• Maintain strict hygiene standards for testers, brushes, and the workstation.
• Ensure counters, displays, and gondolas remain aligned with brand and visual merchandising standards.
• Help with stock replenishment, shade arrangement, and expiry monitoring using FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Support in-store events, masterclasses, and live makeup demonstrations.

Operational Support and Teamwork

• Assist with daily store tasks such as stock handling, merchandising changes, and floor readiness.
• Share customer feedback, shade preferences, and product insights with store leadership.
• Work closely with Beauty Advisors and Supervisors to provide a smooth customer journey.
• Take part in training sessions, new product introductions, and artistry workshops.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Makeup Artist in beauty retail, cosmetic studios, or luxury beauty brands.
• A makeup artistry certification or a related qualification is preferred.
• Strong command of complexion matching, color theory, blending, and application methods.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills with a service-oriented approach.
• Working understanding of skincare and broader beauty category trends.
• Strong grooming and presentation standards suitable for a luxury retail environment.
• Ability to handle a busy, high-traffic setting with frequent launches and events.
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to turn consultations into purchases.
