Compensation is £50,000 to £60,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Support month-end accounting by posting accruals, prepayments, and other journals, and by reviewing profit and loss statements and balance sheets to help ensure accurate reporting across multiple entities.
- Prepare monthly management commentary, track business performance and margin trends, and turn financial data into useful insight for senior decision-making.
- Maintain cash flow models, prepare regular forecasts, and carry out cash analysis to support financial planning and working capital control.
- Assist with statutory reporting, audit preparation, and the rollout of changing regulatory requirements, including environmental and cross-border compliance matters across European operations.
- Use SQL, Excel, and ERP systems to strengthen reporting, improve data quality, automate tasks, and contribute to finance transformation projects.
Skills and experience
- At least five years of experience in a Management Accountant role or a comparable finance position, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or an equivalent qualification, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Advanced capability in Excel and SQL, plus hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system.
- Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and the confidence to reconcile complex financial information while balancing several priorities at once.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive and self-driven approach and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues.
