Role overview
Lindahl Reed, Inc. is seeking a Management Analyst to support the Department of Energy’s Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI), specifically the newly established Advanced Mining and Mineral Production Technologies Office (AMMPTO). The role centers on helping leadership shape the office’s direction, culture, and operating approach as it works to strengthen the domestic critical mineral industrial base.
What you will do
- Provide guidance on strategic issues, tools, and approaches that help AMMPTO carry out its mission and long-term vision.
- Help manage daily office operations, including logistics, budget tracking, project coordination, and contractor support requirements.
- Deliver executive-level support for high-priority cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution while keeping timelines and spending on track.
- Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs, business objectives, and broader strategic targets.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities to support program decisions.
- Work with stakeholders across the program, CMEI, other federal agencies, industry, academia, and national laboratories to move short- and long-range goals forward.
- Assist with management presentations that communicate plans and strategy.
- Contribute to internal and external reports, as well as SOPs tied to program needs.
- Maintain and improve tracking systems used to measure performance.
- Support additional initiatives as they arise.
- Coordinate with DOE analytical groups so AMMPTO priorities are represented and leadership stays informed about related work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, public policy, business, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in government or government contracting, with preference for experience in CMEI.
- Background in helping build and scale a large, dynamic technical team, including shaping vision, culture, and core guiding documents or SOPs.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time-management abilities.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to weigh competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Exposure to or familiarity with critical materials and mineral supply chains, mining, or related subject matter.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to pass a background check after an offer is accepted; employment can begin before the check is complete, but continued employment depends on acceptable results.
- May require special credentialing, clearance, and access depending on government/client approval.
Benefits and additional terms
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage for benefit-eligible employees working 30+ hours per week.
- Retirement plan.
- Company-paid basic life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disability coverage.
- Flexible spending account.
- Paid time off plus 11 federal holidays.
- Professional and educational development opportunities.
- Other benefits may also be available.
- Remote or hybrid employees may set up their own ergonomic workspace.
- If the government or client does not sponsor or approve required credentialing or clearance, employment may be ended.
- This job description is not a contract and may be revised at the company’s discretion.
- Equal opportunity employment applies to all qualified applicants regardless of protected status under applicable laws.
- Rights notices under federal employment laws are available through the referenced labor and employment postings.
