Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a Control & Instrumentation Manager responsible for end-to-end execution at a power plant site in Buxar, Bihar. The role focuses on BTG and BOP C&I activities, with strong involvement in erection, commissioning, integration, and readiness of plant systems for operation.
Key Scope of Work
- Manage C&I execution across turbine, BTG, and BOP systems.
- Oversee erection and commissioning of TSI, DCS panels, SWAS, CEMS, and AAQMS equipment.
- Lead field instrument installation, loop checks, troubleshooting, and system integration.
- Handle commissioning activities for LT/HT switchgear, MCC/PMCC, UPS, battery systems, and battery chargers.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for interface management and site execution.
- Support major plant activities such as steam blowing, oil flushing, synchronization, PG testing, and turbine normalization.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational readiness during all site work.
Technical Coverage
- DCS and PLC systems.
- TSI, SWAS, CEMS, and AAQMS.
- Field instrumentation and loop checking.
- LT/HT switchgear, MCC, PMCC, UPS, and battery systems.
- MOV/SOV and turbine auxiliary instrumentation.
Project Details
The assignment involves complete C&I erection and commissioning for 2×660 MW supercritical units, requiring hands-on site leadership and strong coordination across multiple plant systems.
