Role overview

This is a remote U.S.-based editorial leadership role posted on behalf of a partner employer, with the partner company handling applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The position is focused on building and expanding a high-impact editorial program that turns sophisticated product innovation into clear, compelling stories for varied audiences. You will define the editorial approach for a flagship blog and help position it as a go-to source for insights, product storytelling, and thought leadership.

Operating at the intersection of content, product marketing, and growth, you will influence how stories are created, refined, and distributed across organic and campaign channels. The role combines strategic editorial direction with hands-on writing and editing in a fast-moving, newsroom-like environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify the most important stories and present them with clarity, consistency, and strong audience impact. This is a visible role that contributes directly to audience expansion, brand credibility, and pipeline influence.

Key accountabilities

  • Set the editorial strategy, roadmap, and publishing calendar for the blog, ensuring it supports product marketing and growth goals.
  • Create and edit polished content that converts complex product capabilities into accessible, engaging, audience-focused stories.
  • Improve and refine contributions from internal stakeholders so the final output maintains a consistent tone, clear messaging, and strong storytelling standards.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Product, and Growth teams to uncover high-value story opportunities connected to launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Align the content plan with demand generation priorities and campaign objectives to help drive pipeline growth and audience engagement.
  • Use GEO principles so content is discoverable, trusted, and optimized for AI-led and search-based experiences.
  • Oversee the full content production process from idea generation through publication, including coordination, reviews, and approvals.
  • Analyze content performance and audience data to sharpen editorial priorities and improve effectiveness over time.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in editorial, content strategy, journalism, or product marketing in a B2B technology setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit strong, narrative-led content for blogs, newsroom formats, or marketing platforms.
  • Deep understanding of how to turn technical or product concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible stories.
  • Experience working across Product Marketing, Growth, Product, and Demand Generation functions.
  • Strong editing capability with the ability to merge multiple voices into one consistent editorial standard.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, contributors, and content workflows.
  • Self-starting, idea-oriented mindset with a consistent ability to identify fresh angles and editorial opportunities.
  • Comfort balancing strategic editorial thinking with hands-on execution in a high-volume environment.
