Job description
About the company
This organization helps businesses hire, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across borders. It operates with a distributed, async-first culture, with employees working across multiple continents and every role designed to be fully remote. Innovation is a core value, and automation plus AI are expected to be part of the way every role is approached.
The team is built for ambitious, fast-moving problem solving and aims to improve global HR operations, customer experience, and compliance coverage at scale.
Role overview
This opportunity is for a Manager, Lifecycle Contract Management to lead the APAC contract management function covering India, Southeast Asia, and Japan. The role reports into the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Contract Management and sits within the EOR Operations team. It is a chance to shape service quality, team performance, and operational scale in a global employment environment.
The role is focused on delivering strong contract lifecycle support as a key extension of client HR teams, while helping strengthen processes, integrations, and tools across a large international footprint. The hiring team is especially interested in candidates who can improve efficiency, support compliance, and drive customer satisfaction through better workflows and automation.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main expert and escalation contact for matters related to contract management.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to build a high-performing regional team.
- Own hiring, onboarding, capability building, mentoring, and ongoing supervision for the regional team.
- Work closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, Customer Success, and other internal stakeholders to improve integrations, processes, workflows, and SOPs in line with business goals.
- Review and enhance team processes, tools, and workflows, including identifying opportunities to automate for better quality, efficiency, and scale.
- Help launch new initiatives and scale them from initial setup through wider rollout.
- Represent the company’s values and the Lifecycle team’s goals both internally and externally.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings strong HR operations experience across multiple APAC countries, along with deep knowledge of contract management and labour law. Prior experience scaling operations in diverse APAC markets and managing local compliance requirements is important.
You should be comfortable in a fast-paced international scale-up environment and have hands-on people management experience with a coaching approach. Strong digital fluency is important, as is a mindset focused on continuous improvement and service quality.
Fluency in English is required. Remote work experience is not mandatory, but it would be an advantage, and startup experience is also considered a plus. You must be able to manage employee information and confidential data carefully, professionally, and in line with established protocols.
Practical details
You will report to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Contract Management and be part of the EOR Operations team. The role is open to applicants from APAC, though applications from APAC locations will be prioritized. The expected start date is as soon as possible.
Application process
- Introductory interview with a recruiter
- Interview with the future manager
- Interview with team members without managers present
- Bar raiser interview
- Verification of prior employment
Compensation and rewards
The annual base salary range for this full-time role is USD 48,850 to USD 110,000. Compensation is determined using role level, location, relevant skills, experience, training, and business needs. The company uses geographic pay ranges as part of its global compensation approach.
The benefits package includes the ability to work from anywhere, flexible paid time off, flexible working hours in an async environment, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, mental health support, stock options, a learning budget, home office budget and IT equipment, and funding for local social events or co-working spaces.
How the work style operates
The organization works asynchronously, so schedules can be planned around life rather than meetings. Team members are expected to take ownership, act proactively, and prioritize work-life balance.
Equal opportunity and inclusion
Applications are encouraged from people of all backgrounds, including under-represented groups. The company supports employee resource groups for women, disability, queer, and minorities in tech. Candidates who need accommodations can request support during the interview process and beyond. Applicants may be asked to share pronouns during interviews and can optionally complete an anonymous demographic questionnaire.
AI and hiring approach
The company welcomes responsible use of AI but expects candidates to demonstrate authentic expertise, creativity, and experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Application instructions
Applicants are asked to submit their CV in PDF format and in English. If an up-to-date CV is unavailable, a LinkedIn profile may be provided instead.
