Role Overview
The Manager of E-Commerce is the main liaison for Affiliates when it comes to ecommerce and company store solutions. This position guides projects from the first request through launch, coordinates communication and deadlines, supports product and site requirements, oversees store administration, and delivers demos and presentations on ecommerce capabilities.
The right person for this role is highly organized, customer-oriented, and enthusiastic about ecommerce technology. The role partners with Affiliates and internal teams to ensure ecommerce and company store solutions are onboarded, built, maintained, and adopted successfully while delivering strong service and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central contact for Affiliates, customers, and end users on ecommerce and company store matters.
- Plan, coordinate, and drive ecommerce initiatives such as new company stores, distributor sites, platform improvements, maintenance work, and related projects.
- Set priorities, organize workloads, and keep support items and projects moving on schedule.
- Review business and technical needs, advise Affiliates on goals, and work with cross-functional teams to choose and implement suitable ecommerce solutions.
- Build and update project plans, communicate milestones and timelines, manage risks proactively, and share progress updates with stakeholders.
- Organize discovery, planning, review, and follow-up meetings with Affiliates and internal partners.
- Oversee ecommerce support activity and coordinate responses to questions, operational issues, and platform concerns with technical, financial, and business stakeholders.
- Lead demos, presentations, trainings, and communication efforts to help Affiliates understand platform features, best practices, and new functionality.
- Coach team members and share subject matter expertise while encouraging consistent processes and ecommerce best practices.
- Spot opportunities to improve customer experience, efficiency, processes, and platform capabilities, and share recommendations with leadership.
- Manage store launches, ongoing maintenance, and daily administration for company stores and ecommerce sites.
- Support site updates, including design changes, product setup, content updates, and merchandising activity.
- Maintain product catalog structure, pricing, store settings, and related configurations to support a strong user experience.
- Perform quality checks to confirm accuracy and completeness of content, functionality, and setup.
- Support testing of site updates, integrations, and new features before they go live.
- Prepare and analyze reports for internal teams, Affiliates, and customers as needed.
- Track ecommerce-related fees and ensure proper allocation and reporting.
- Assist with resource planning, project tracking, workload coordination, and operational forecasting.
- Keep project files, process documents, training materials, and operating records current.
- Support research on products, platforms, and sites for strategic planning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Associate degree or 2 to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong understanding of website design tools, graphic design, user experience, and other ecommerce technologies.
- Working knowledge of website administration, product catalog management, pricing, promotions, and UX principles.
- Exposure to ecommerce integrations such as payment processing, order management, inventory management, and fulfillment workflows.
- Preferred knowledge of promotional products, industry practices, and company store programs.
- Basic familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and content management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building ability.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams across technology, operations, sales, and customer support.
Work Environment
This is an office-based role with regular on-site attendance. Standard working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Employees are required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week. A third in-office day will be scheduled based on department needs and individual coverage requirements, either Monday or Thursday. Fridays are office-closed days and are treated as work-from-home days.
