Job description

Role overview

This position focuses on strengthening the bank’s Process Science Framework by bringing specialist process engineering expertise into business operations. The goal is to help professionalise how work is done across the organisation, improve process maturity, and uncover efficiency gains while keeping the client experience at the centre.

What you will do

  • Carry out detailed process analysis to confirm that products and services are delivered through efficient and effective workflows, while spotting problem areas and improvement opportunities through a review of processes, organisational design, and strategy.
  • Provide specialist process engineering input into the Centre of Excellence technology roadmap as well as the wider group IT plan, including guidance on the technical requirements needed to support the function and compliance with relevant IT standards.
  • Own reporting deliverables that support transparency and sound decision-making, and help shape a process roadmap covering immediate, short-term, medium-term, and long-term actions aimed at improving performance year after year.
  • Design and implement practical process improvements using structured improvement methods, then monitor, track, and report on end-to-end process performance to demonstrate business value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and clients by resolving Process Science queries, offering training where needed, and participating in workshops and forums to share Process Science concepts more broadly.

Requirements

  • A first degree in Information Studies or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Strong understanding of the bank’s processes, products, data, and systems.
  • Between 5 and 7 years of experience in business process management, modelling, innovation, analysis, design, engineering, improvement, documentation, quality assurance, and the use of analysis tools and systems.
  • Previous exposure to workflow-related work is required.

Additional information

The role also calls for the following behavioural strengths: the ability to present information clearly, challenge ideas constructively, adapt to change, analyse information carefully, explore alternatives, and interpret data effectively.

Technical strengths valued for the role include automation awareness, automation delivery, client relationship management, continuous improvement, creative problem-solving, and process management.
