About the Role
The Manager - Quality – MEP – Site is responsible for assisting with quality checks, documentation, and inspection tasks for MEP systems. This position supports engineers in ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and client requirements through regular site inspections, reporting, and coordination of tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid QA/QC engineers in inspecting electrical conduit work, cable tray installation, plumbing and piping layouts, HVAC ductwork, and fire-fighting systems to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and quality benchmarks.
- Participate in the inspection of incoming MEP and steel materials, including pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, and fasteners, verifying proper storage, tagging, and certification.
- Facilitate coordination with laboratories and third-party entities for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), pressure tests, megger tests, and functional performance evaluations of MEP systems.
- Compile inspection findings and complete checklists, under the supervision of QA/QC engineers, for various work stages such as pipe leak testing and duct insulation.

Internal Stakeholders
- QA/QC Engineer – MEP & Steel: For alignment with structural requirements and reporting parameters.
- Site Execution Engineers – MEP, Civil, Structural: For ground checks, structural alignment verification, and testing confirmation.
External Stakeholders
- Clients / Consultants: During inspections, to coordinate site audits and manage milestone walk-throughs.
- Testing laboratories: To arrange off-site testing procedures and review material evaluation results.
Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. ITI with relevant MEP or steel experience may be considered for more junior positions.
- Basic English proficiency for documentation; fluency in Hindi or the local language is beneficial for site communication.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 to 20 years of experience is required.
- The experience should involve supporting MEP inspections, documentation, and field-level compliance activities on construction project sites.
