Job description
Role overview
Kimberly-Clark is looking for a warehousing and logistics excellence manager to help strengthen supply chain performance across its operations. This role is centered on improving warehouse and logistics processes, supporting cost efficiency, and ensuring strong execution across planning, distribution, and compliance. The position is based in Pune, India.
What the role is about
The ideal candidate is expected to bring structure to complex supply chain activities, identify improvement opportunities, and help deliver better service through more efficient operations. The work will involve balancing detailed operational control with a broader view of network performance, customer delivery, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key focus areas
- Spot operational bottlenecks and improve workflows using lean thinking, Six Sigma, or similar methods in areas such as picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Track and improve productivity measures, inventory accuracy, and order fulfilment turnaround times.
- Support logistics planning across transportation, distribution, and stock placement so deliveries can happen faster and more reliably.
- Build and enforce safety, operational, and social compliance practices across warehouses and the logistics value chain.
- Use digital tools such as Power BI and related systems to create live dashboards and monitor costs in real time.
- Drive cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and distribution, while following up on progress regularly with teams.
- Monitor and report supply chain KPIs such as VFR compliance, PDP, MOQ adherence, and warehouse SOP compliance.
Required background
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of experience in logistics excellence or a similar logistics function, ideally within FMCG. Candidates should be comfortable using MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint, and should have working knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, Power BI, TMS, and POD management tools.
Skills and working style
Strong written and verbal communication, the ability to work independently with limited supervision, proactive coordination, teamwork, a learning mindset, and close attention to detail are important. The role also benefits from someone who can study data, identify trends, solve supply chain issues, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to support cost-saving initiatives.
Preferred exposure
Familiarity with supply chain metrics such as VFR, MOQ compliance, and cost drivers, along with experience in CPG or similar industry supply chains, will be an added advantage.
