Its work supports marine, subsea, defence, mining, industrial, oil and gas, construction, earthmoving, and maritime clients. The company designs, builds, and installs hydraulic and lubrication systems to customer specifications, with support from workshop operations as well as field servicing and installation.
Based in the Perth southern metropolitan area, the business is backed by ISO-accredited systems, established offshore capability, and long-standing OEM relationships. It is now entering a major growth stage, with plans to expand across Australia while strengthening its position in the defence and oil and gas markets.
The opportunity
This is a senior leadership role for someone ready to take an established hydraulics business and grow it into a recognised national brand. The role involves leading geographic expansion, creating a multi-state service network, increasing distribution of hose and fittings, and securing national contracts across key industries.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for setting and delivering the company’s national growth agenda while overseeing business performance and operational scale-up.
- Create and execute the long-term national expansion strategy to support sustained growth.
- Set up new branches and service capability across Australia.
- Increase market share in hydraulic hose, fittings, and related components.
- Develop and grow accounts in OEM, defence, marine, mining, and industrial sectors.
- Expand workshop and field service operations nationwide.
- Direct major company projects and oversee their successful delivery.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing leadership, sales, and operations teams.
- Design and implement health, safety, and wellbeing practices in line with current legislation.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Improve revenue, margins, and return on investment from expansion activities.
- Manage daily operations, including financial oversight, budget control, and company policy development.
- Lead risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Report results to the major shareholder while meeting legal and regulatory obligations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.

- Current C Class driver’s licence and a valid National Police Clearance are mandatory.
- Proven success in growing market share and building a national footprint.
- Experience managing multi-site service or technical operations.
- Previous responsibility for large-scale company projects.
- Capability in OEM and key account development.
- Strong financial understanding, including P&L accountability, commercial analysis, and resource allocation.
- Experience in risk management and compliance.
- Current knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation is an advantage.
- Understanding of legal concepts and frameworks relevant to both directorship and the industries the business serves is an advantage.
- Strategic growth mindset with the ability to execute in a practical, hands-on way.
- Strong people leadership skills, including team motivation, change management, and team performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to handle conflict, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing conditions.
