About the Role
Block Labs is increasing its QA team and is hiring a Manual QA Tester to support quality assurance across its gaming platform and crypto payment products. You will work closely with QA Leads and development teams to run test plans, perform regression testing, and help ensure releases meet a high standard before production deployment. This is a practical, hands-on testing role with room to grow as the team expands.
Responsibilities
- Carry out manual testing on web and mobile products, including functional, smoke, and regression scenarios.
- Run regression checks before releases and document defects with precise reproduction steps and severity levels.
- Confirm bug fixes and make sure resolved issues have not created new problems in related areas.
- Work with QA Leads and developers to understand requirements, identify unclear points, and align coverage with acceptance criteria.
- Keep test cases and documentation updated as products and features change.
- Join sprint meetings and provide timely updates on test progress, risks, and blockers.
- Support exploratory testing to find edge cases and usability issues outside planned scripts.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in gaming, fintech, or payments.
- Comfort testing across web and mobile environments and the ability to adapt quickly to unfamiliar product areas.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies, edge cases, and usability problems.
- Ability to prepare well-structured bug reports with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or logs.
- Exposure to test management tools such as TestRail, Testmo, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with developer tools, browser DevTools, and API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with real-time gaming products, multiplayer systems, or digital entertainment platforms is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to blockchain or crypto payment products is an added advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English skills and comfort working asynchronously with distributed teams.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to take ownership and raise risks or blockers proactively.
