Job description

Role overview

GSK Saudi Arabia is aligned with Vision 2030 and the Saudi National Agenda, including support for Saudization through hiring, training, and capability building for Saudi nationals. In this position, you will guide market access efforts across Saudi Arabia to help secure durable patient access in both public and private healthcare environments. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across functions, as well as engagement with payers, government entities, and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and roll out national market access plans and strategies that support product launch preparation and long-term access.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with public payers, private insurers, hospital procurement teams, and other relevant stakeholders in the market.
  • Spot barriers to access and propose practical, evidence-based responses such as local pilots or partnership initiatives.
  • Take ownership of reimbursement dossiers, value narratives, and evidence summaries tailored to local and regional requirements.
  • Share market intelligence and payer insights regularly to support commercial, medical, and policy decisions.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure coordinated delivery and compliance during negotiations, tenders, and contracting activities.

Work arrangement

This position is partly field-based within Saudi Arabia and includes travel across the country, along with occasional regional engagement.

Required background

Successful candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, health economics, public health, or a similar discipline. You should have 2 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, government affairs, or commercial roles such as sales representative, key account manager, or product specialist, ideally within healthcare or pharma. The role is intended for Saudi nationals.

Language and market knowledge

Fluency in Arabic and working proficiency in English are essential. A working understanding of the Saudi healthcare landscape is needed, including public sector payers, private insurers, or hospital procurement processes. Experience with tenders, account management, or payer-facing work is beneficial, as is an ability to build relationships with hospital accounts, procurement teams, and key decision makers.

Analytical and business skills

You should be comfortable interpreting data and using it to support value communication and business cases. The role calls for clear, direct communication, the ability to simplify complex evidence for varied audiences, and a collaborative, dependable working style.

Preferred profile

Additional value will come from an advanced degree in health economics, business, or pharmacy; experience preparing reimbursement submissions, health economic models, or budget impact analyses; an existing network with Saudi health authorities, procurement bodies, or large hospitals; exposure to public-sector tenders, pricing, or contracting; and prior experience in vaccines, specialty medicines, or large pharmaceutical organizations.

Application guidance

Interested candidates should submit a CV in English. Applications are welcomed from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
