Role overview
This position is for a practical and hands-on marketing assistant based in the Essen office. The role supports delivery of the marketing plan and works closely with the wider European marketing team in the Netherlands and the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Support the creation and rollout of marketing initiatives that align with the wider strategy and help strengthen the brand.
- Run social media activity, especially on LinkedIn and YouTube, following the communications plan and producing fresh, relevant content.
- Work with the marketing team to improve website visibility and support promotional activity.
- Assist with translations for content and other copy-led tasks.
- Prepare and deliver monthly reporting.
- Create visual materials for sales and commercial colleagues.
- Stay up to date with current marketing approaches, techniques, and industry best practice.
- Coordinate with external agencies as needed.
- Help support revenue growth by assisting the Marketing Manager with internal and external business development efforts.
- Take on additional marketing tasks when required by the wider team.
Essential experience and capabilities
The ideal candidate should have exposure to multiple marketing channels, including campaigns, blog content, advertising, events, email marketing, and social media. They should also be confident using Microsoft Office, social media monitoring tools, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Canva.
A proactive mindset is important, along with the ability to research competitors, review market activity, and identify new business opportunities. Strong written and spoken communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently with good organisation and time management.
Desirable profile
A good sense of design and a creative outlook would be an advantage. Familiarity with technical products, or a willingness to learn through training and self-study, is also desirable. The company is looking for someone ambitious who wants to grow in the role and add value over time.
Working pattern
The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with 40 hours per week.
