Role overview

Europe Arab Bank is hiring a temporary Marketing Assistant to join its London team for a fixed six-month assignment. The position is based at the Mayfair head office and follows a hybrid pattern with onsite attendance required three days each week. The role supports the Head of Marketing and the Marketing & Communications Manager across everyday activities, internal communications, basic external content, marketing coordination, and selected strategic initiatives.

This is a practical, hands-on opportunity for someone with some foundational marketing or communications experience who can work with guidance, take ownership of tasks, and contribute in a busy banking environment.

Key duties

Working under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Manager, the successful candidate will help deliver a range of business-as-usual activities across the function.

Internal and external communications

  • Help draft and coordinate internal communications, including quarterly newsletters and office screensavers.
  • Support the preparation and scheduling of external content, mainly LinkedIn posts.
  • Contribute to social media and digital content planning by reviewing performance, spotting content opportunities, and assisting with channel-specific content ideas.

Marketing coordination and administration

  • Keep internal documents and the marketing inbox organised and up to date.
  • Work with internal teams to collect content and support the approval workflow.
  • Assist with coordination of corporate sponsorship and gifting activities.

Content and design support

  • Provide support with copywriting and content development.
  • Help with content updates and basic design tasks using available tools.
  • Create engaging digital assets for social media, internal communications, and email campaigns while following brand standards and good practice.

Requirements and experience

The bank is looking for someone with around 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or an office-based support role. The ideal person is eager to learn, comfortable taking on new challenges, and able to contribute creative ideas.

Strong analytical ability, quick understanding of new concepts, and adaptability in a changing environment are important. The candidate should also be methodical, highly organised, able to manage pressure and deadlines, and confident working independently across multiple tasks.

Technical experience should include familiarity with social media and digital marketing basics, along with some use of design and content tools such as Adobe and Canva or similar platforms. Strong capability with Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Illustrator, is expected.

Excellent written and verbal communication, careful attention to detail, strong administration skills, a professional and collaborative approach, and good interpersonal skills are all essential. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic language ability is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Additional information

This is a fixed-term temporary assignment of six months. The role is based in Mayfair, London, and requires onsite working for three days per week.
