About the Role
The Marketing Associate will support the planning and delivery of integrated digital marketing efforts that help tourism clients gain visibility and increase bookings. Working alongside Marketing Managers, this person will help build, launch, track, and improve campaigns across multiple digital channels. The role suits a proactive, organized problem-solver who can juggle several priorities at once, contribute fresh ideas, and maintain strong brand consistency. While direct client handling is limited, the position offers broad exposure to different areas of marketing and plenty of opportunity to grow.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Marketing Managers to plan and run digital campaigns across social media, Google Ads, email, and related platforms.
- Develop marketing assets such as ad designs, newsletters, and promotional copy.
- Review campaign data, including traffic, conversions, and engagement, to assess performance.
- Research market trends and identify new opportunities for client growth.
- Analyze customer behavior data to shape marketing decisions.
- Apply data-driven improvements to campaigns using agile working methods.
- Keep branding consistent across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Help maintain client websites and support SEO best practices.
- Work with teammates to handle multiple projects and deliver work on time.
- Prepare progress updates, performance reports, and practical recommendations.
- Assist with client communication and relationship-building.
- Take part in team meetings, idea sessions, and learning activities.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant work or academic experience in marketing or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organization with close attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage several tasks and set priorities well.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, and MailChimp.
- Working knowledge of analytics, reporting, and web data tools such as Google Analytics.
- Understanding of content marketing and campaign development.
- Exposure to email automation, audience segmentation, and retargeting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SEO and website platforms such as WordPress or SquareSpace.
- Graphic design ability with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.
- Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets for analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a creative, goal-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Interest in learning new tools, skills, and marketing methods.
- Passion for outdoor activities and tourism industry trends.
