About the Role

Hyatt Regency Long Beach is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to shape and execute the annual integrated marketing and communications strategy for both Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach. The role is focused on supporting business goals by building market-specific plans, strengthening brand visibility, improving guest awareness, deepening loyalty, and helping drive revenue and profitability.

In this position, you will help maintain a strong and consistent brand presence across local, regional, and national channels through targeted public relations, digital marketing, and social media efforts. You will also ensure that hotel messaging remains accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards. This position reports to the Area Director of Sales and Marketing.

Core Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and internal lead for internet-based marketing initiatives, including strategy support and technical coordination.
  • Create and run organic social media campaigns and posts that generate traffic for both Long Beach properties.
  • Oversee social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other targeted platforms using monitoring tools.
  • Build and manage a media planning calendar for the hotel, including food and beverage outlets.
  • Act as an internal adviser on new media trends and share relevant insights with the team.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Regency and Centric brands and communicate using the appropriate brand voice for each.
  • Bring creative ideas to campaigns, content, and marketing execution.
  • Spot possible revenue or partnership opportunities through social media and third-party platforms.
  • Coordinate with Visit Long Beach and support city events through social media and Hyatt.com promotion.
  • Prepare monthly social media plans in advance.
  • Keep content consistent and current across all hotel and outlet listings, including photos, videos, and written copy.
  • Monitor and manage online reputation by responding to guest reviews on TripAdvisor, Expedia, and similar sites.
  • Update Hyatt websites and third-party listings to ensure all details remain accurate and current.
  • Help prepare presentations for the Area General Manager, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, and Sales Managers.
  • Support additional marketing projects such as flyers, in-hotel promotional material, and related team assignments.
  • Conduct marketing research and reporting as needed.
  • Assist with photo and video shoot planning and coordination.
  • Support all departments with marketing requests, including digital signage, menu updates, and in-hotel marketing materials.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $26 per hour.

Qualifications

  • You should be highly motivated to meet guest needs in a busy, fast-moving setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • You need solid computer application proficiency.
  • Good analytical ability, organization, and interpersonal skills are important for success in this role.

This role is based at Hyatt Regency Long Beach and supports Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach as well. The position is centered on maintaining accurate brand presentation, supporting digital and social campaigns, and coordinating marketing work across multiple hotel functions.
