About Tapcart
Tapcart provides a mobile app platform built for fast-growing Shopify brands. The company helps eCommerce and marketing teams build stronger brand experiences and create a more direct relationship with customers through mobile commerce. Its platform supports mobile shopping for more than 50 million shoppers and handles over $8 billion in annual revenue. Well-known brands such as Béis, Grove Collaborative, and Ruggable use Tapcart to launch mobile apps quickly and grow retention and revenue.
Role Overview
Tapcart is hiring a Marketing Manager who can operate comfortably across marketing operations, product marketing, and hands-on execution. This role is a blend of systems ownership and go-to-market support, with responsibility for keeping the marketing engine organized, efficient, and effective.
You will manage the core processes and programs that support marketing performance, including HubSpot setup, conversion improvement work, and customer marketing initiatives. At the same time, you will help shape how new products are introduced to the market, support launches, and keep the team aligned through strong coordination and planning.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and proactive. You should be capable of creating nurture flows, drafting product-focused content, and running conversion experiments without needing a step-by-step playbook.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will include managing marketing operations from end to end, improving funnel performance, supporting product launches, running customer marketing efforts, and acting as the central coordinator for the team’s work.
As the primary owner of HubSpot, you will maintain workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, contact hygiene, and reporting. You will also work to keep attribution accurate, ensure data quality, and partner with Revenue Operations and Sales Operations so systems stay aligned.
You will lead conversion rate optimization efforts across important marketing channels such as the website, landing pages, email, and paid media. This will involve structured testing, performance analysis, and turning insights into improvements.
For product marketing, you will help develop positioning, messaging frameworks, sales enablement materials, and competitive intelligence for launches and ongoing product updates.
You will also build customer marketing programs that support onboarding, expansion, retention, and advocacy. In partnership with Customer Success, you will help create a customer reference pipeline and identify opportunities to turn satisfied customers into promoters.
In addition, you will manage the marketing calendar, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination so campaigns and launches stay on schedule. You are expected to spot blockers early, close open loops, and keep execution moving smoothly.
The role also includes using AI tools to improve speed and efficiency by automating repetitive work and streamlining workflows where possible.
Required Experience and Skills
The role calls for at least 5 years of experience and strong capability across marketing operations, experimentation, product marketing, and cross-functional execution.
You should have deep experience with HubSpot, including workflow creation, segmented reporting, attribution troubleshooting, and list management. You should understand how marketing systems fit into the broader go-to-market process.
You also need practical CRO experience, including A/B tests, multivariate testing, or iterative optimization of pages and funnels. You should be able to interpret results and apply them thoughtfully.
Strong product marketing instincts are important as well. You should be able to simplify complex product functionality into clear messaging, build positioning documents, and support launches with effective sales materials.
The company is looking for someone with a structured, systems-oriented mindset and comfort working with tools, APIs, and workflows that improve team efficiency. You should be a person who keeps timelines moving and closes open tasks.
Strong writing ability is required for customer communications, internal briefs, product summaries, and campaign content. Analytical fluency is also important, including the ability to work with funnel data, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Finally, the role requires effective collaboration with Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and Customer Success, along with clear communication and strong expectation management.
Bonus Experience
- Exposure to the Shopify or DTC e-commerce ecosystem
- Hands-on use of CRO platforms and testing tools
- Experience in customer marketing or lifecycle marketing
- Use of AI tools for automation and content generation
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Notion for marketing team operations
Location and Eligibility
This is a remote role, but it is limited to candidates located in the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, ME, MI, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WA.
Visa transfer and sponsorship are not available for this position.
Compensation
The total compensation package includes a base salary, bonus, and equity. The base pay range is $120,000 to $130,000. The bonus opportunity is up to 15% of base salary, and a competitive equity package is included. Final compensation will depend on experience.
Perks and Benefits
Full-time employees receive a 401(k) plan with equity grants, competitive pay, affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage, and mental health support through Headspace and Talkspace.
The company offers a flexible PTO policy, 11 paid company holidays, remote work, a one-time home office setup stipend, and a recurring merchant shopping stipend.
Why Tapcart
Tapcart is a Santa Monica-based technology company with startup energy and strong market momentum. Since its $50M Series B funding round in 2021, the company has continued expanding its platform and merchant community while working to reshape mobile shopping.
