Role Overview
As a Merchandising Executive, you will support the retail business by shaping and executing merchandising plans that improve sales performance and customer experience. The role calls for strong analytical thinking, a good understanding of consumer behavior and merchandising trends, and close coordination with internal teams such as buying, marketing, retail, visual merchandising, and operations.
What You Will Do
- Create merchandising plans aimed at improving sales results and customer satisfaction.
- Review market trends, shopper behavior, and the competitive environment to find assortment opportunities.
- Work with the buying team to build the right product mix for the brand and target customers.
- Carry out store visits and competitor checks to understand market positioning.
- Monitor stock levels and replenishment to limit both shortages and excess inventory.
- Use data analysis and forecasting to improve stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
- Coordinate with visual merchandising teams to build attractive displays and store layouts that encourage engagement and sales.
- Help maintain merchandising standards consistently across retail locations.
- Develop promotion and pricing approaches that support sales growth and profitability.
- Track promotion and pricing results and adjust plans where needed.
- Partner with marketing, retail, and operations teams to implement merchandising initiatives effectively.
- Share merchandising priorities with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor performance indicators including sales, margin, inventory turnover, and sell-through rates.
- Prepare reports and insights to assess merchandising effectiveness and identify improvements.
- Support business performance against key success measures such as sales revenue and sell-through rate.
- Work independently to analyze data and communicate findings clearly to different stakeholders.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Diploma holders with relevant experience are also welcome.
- At least 1 to 2 years of merchandising experience in the retail sector.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak periods or special events.
