Job description
Role overview
Hiddenwell’s Design Team is looking for a skilled Mid-Level Interior Designer to join its Central Services function in Moreton-in-Marsh, with travel required across UK properties. This is a strong opportunity for a creative professional who can combine design flair with technical precision and confidently manage projects from the initial idea stage through to final delivery.
You will work alongside the Lead Interior Designer to shape high-end interior schemes across the portfolio, helping ensure each project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. The organisation places value on teamwork, accountability, professional growth, and making a meaningful contribution across the wider business.
What you will do
- Run interior design projects end to end, keeping design quality consistent from concept through completion.
- Turn briefs into thoughtful concepts, design directions, and presentation materials for clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare FF&E schedules, specifications, and budget tracking documents.
- Produce and check technical drawing sets in AutoCAD, working with interior architects as needed.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to keep delivery moving smoothly.
- Create and issue RFIs and assist with accurate implementation on site.
- Take part in site inspections, installations, and stakeholder meetings whenever required.
- Help shape bespoke joinery, furniture, and upholstery concepts.
- Partner with the Lead Interior Designer to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Keep the studio materials library organised and up to date.
What you need
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high-end interior design studio.
- Strong design judgement with the ability to create cohesive, layered interior schemes.
- Evidence of independently managing projects across multiple stages.
- Advanced understanding of FF&E specification, budgeting, and procurement.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, joinery details, lighting layouts, and electrical drawings.
- Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Sound knowledge of materials, finishes, and bespoke design processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing work.
- An existing supplier network and relevant industry contacts.
- Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities at once.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- A refined aesthetic sensibility suited to luxury, contemporary interiors.
- Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and able to contribute well within a collaborative team.
