Role overview

This contract opportunity is suited to a imaginative video editor who enjoys sports-focused storytelling. The assignment is to define the look and feel of a new YouTube series that works as an entry-level guide to football. The style should feel friendly, clever, and highly visual. You’ll work with supplied materials such as custom artwork, presenter clips, and reference examples to establish the episode’s rhythm and visual richness, while keeping the content informative and entertaining for viewers who are new to the game.

Deliverables

• Create a 10–12 minute episode in 1080p MP4 format, with an energetic pace and visual changes occurring roughly every 3–5 seconds.
• Add comic-style captions to all important phrases, keeping them clear and consistent throughout the edit.
• Use the provided illustrations in a thoughtful sequence to strengthen the storytelling.
• Blend in modern, playful music and sound effects that support the narrative without distracting from the spoken content.
• Keep the presenter off screen alone for no longer than 10 seconds at a time by using visual inserts to hold attention.
• Provide the final cut with captions burned in, or supply a separate SRT caption file.
• Work through feedback and revisions to align the final output with the expected tone and style.
• If the collaboration goes well, there may be continued work on future episodes and related content.

Requirements

• Solid track record editing YouTube or other online video content, preferably in sports, learning, or entertainment formats.
• Strong command of editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable software.
• Clear ability to produce visually dense, fast-moving edits similar to reference-style football explainers.
• Experience combining captions, illustrations, and sound design to support storytelling.
• Good sense of timing, humor, and visual narrative flow.
• Comfort working from supplied assets and detailed style directions.
• Strong communication skills and a receptive approach to feedback.
• Must be able to begin immediately and deliver within the agreed schedule.
• A portfolio or sample work relevant to this type of editing is required.
