Job description
Role overview
A prestigious, high-performing hedge fund is hiring a newly created middle office analyst in London. This position sits outside the core operations team and focuses on supervising outsourced back-office activity for operations functions that have been handed to external providers.
What you will do
You will be responsible for monitoring service providers, handling operational issues and breaks, and pushing third parties to meet the required standards for service quality and output. The role offers strong internal visibility and direct accountability, including exposure to senior stakeholders across both the investment and non-investment teams.
Experience needed
The firm is seeking candidates with around 2 to 5 years of experience in an operations-focused role, with some flexibility for individuals who have slightly more experience. Backgrounds in hedge funds are preferred, though candidates from investment banking or from outsourced service providers / third-party administrators will also be considered.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this position is up to £85,000. The employer positions itself as a strong total compensation payer, with meaningful bonus upside for strong performers. Additional benefits include a £20 daily food allowance, fully subsidised gym membership, a premium healthcare package, and a pension plan.
