Job description
About the Studio
This London-based interior design practice, established in 1998, focuses on hospitality work for clients in the UK and overseas. The team is intentionally small, with roughly 15 people, and takes a collaborative, relationship-led approach with clients, suppliers and colleagues to create thoughtful, functional spaces.
Role Overview
The studio is seeking a creative, technically strong Middleweight Interior Designer with a genuine interest in hospitality interiors. The position sits within a fast-moving environment and involves contributing across several projects from early concept development through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create concept ideas, mood boards and 3D visuals for food and beverage environments.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawing sets in Vectorworks, including plans, elevations, sections and joinery information.
- Source furniture, fixtures and finishes, and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Support project administration by assembling schedules, specifications and presentation decks for client meetings.
- Join site visits and supplier meetings to help maintain design intent and support delivery.
About You
The ideal candidate is confident, proactive and eager to grow, with the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a busy studio setting and bring strong technical and presentation abilities.
Requirements
- A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- Advanced working knowledge of Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop.
- Good understanding of UK building regulations and drawing conventions.
- Ability to organise workload and consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
- Basic awareness of project schedules, costs and budget management.
- Strong knowledge of suppliers, products, FF&E and finishes.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong graphic and presentation capability.
- Positive, adaptable team player with enthusiasm to continue developing professionally.
What’s Offered
- Guidance and mentorship from senior designers.
- Exposure to both UK and international projects.
- Ongoing professional development, including six-monthly reviews and a CPD programme.
- 20 days of annual leave, plus Christmas studio closure, which usually adds another 3 to 4 days.
- Additional holiday entitlement after 5 years of service.
- A friendly studio environment with summer and Christmas outings, Friday snacks and drinks, and regular social events.
Additional Information
The salary is competitive and will depend on experience. Candidates must already be eligible to work in the UK. Applications should include a CV, covering letter and PDF portfolio.
