Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the Motion Design team at No7 Beauty Company, part of Boots. The role is based in Nottingham or London and focuses on producing engaging motion content for well-known beauty brands. You’ll work alongside designers, copywriters and producers to turn creative ideas into polished visual assets that perform across many channels.

Core responsibilities

  • Create motion-led content for social media, digital retail, CRM, websites, paid media and campaign deliverables.
  • Produce polished animations and motion graphics with a strong eye for detail, technical quality and brand alignment.
  • Work with cross-functional creative teams to turn concepts into effective motion outputs.
  • Resize, adapt and version campaign assets for different formats, aspect ratios and usage needs while keeping output efficient and consistent.
  • Handle projects from the initial brief through to final handoff, coordinating with creative, account and production teams.
  • Help refine workflows, templates and production methods so content can be created at scale more effectively.
  • Keep project files, asset folders and documentation well structured and in line with team standards.
  • Stay current with new motion trends, creative tools and developing production workflows.

What you need

The role calls for at least 4 years of professional motion design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates campaign-level work. You should be comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud at an advanced level, especially After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Illustrator. A solid grasp of animation principles, typography and visual storytelling is essential, along with knowledge of technical specs and best practices for social, digital and content platforms. The team also expects strong multi-project organisation, deadline management and clear communication in collaborative creative environments. Applicants should include a portfolio or a link to their work in their CV.

Nice to have

It would be an advantage to have experience creating reusable templates or scalable motion systems, familiarity with generative AI tools and newer creative technologies, audio editing or sound design skills, and previous exposure to retail, beauty, lifestyle or FMCG businesses.

Benefits and rewards

You’ll be joining a collaborative workplace that values trust, inclusion and individual contribution. The package includes a Boots Retirement Savings Plan with company contributions of up to 12%, discounted shopping for you and a family member, enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave pay, and access to free 24/7 support and counselling through TELUS Health as the Employee Assistance Programme.

Additional information

The employer is open to part-time and job-share arrangements, and reasonable adjustments can be provided during the application process. The role also offers the chance to develop your skills and grow your career in a supportive environment within the beauty sector.

About the company
