Role overview
A major food manufacturing operation located just outside London, Ontario is hiring a certified Millwright (433A) to handle mechanical installation, upkeep, and reliability work on plant machinery and production equipment.
Compensation and schedule
- Shift pattern: 12-hour continental rotation, changing every two weeks, with day shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm and night shifts from 6:30pm to 6:30am.
- Starting rate: $45.94 per hour for the Millwright role.
- Rate increase: $46.05 per hour once the Class B license is achieved.
- Health coverage begins after 90 days.
- Two weeks of vacation are provided.
- RRSP matching is offered at 3%.

Key duties

Qualifications and expectations
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid 433A Millwright license is mandatory.
- Three years of experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
- Applicants should be prepared to pursue a Class B Refrigeration Operator License, with internal support available.
- Background in millwright or maintenance technician work within continuous process manufacturing is strongly preferred, especially in food or pharmaceutical settings.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach are needed.
- Reliable attendance, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others are important.
- Candidates must be able to manage priorities in a team setting and work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime when needed.
Work environment
This is an on-site industrial role in a fast-moving production environment where teamwork, safety, and minimizing downtime are essential.
Reporting line
The Millwright will work closely with the maintenance team and report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Additional requirements
- Ability to spot operational risks in active production areas and help reduce equipment downtime.
- Comfort with maintaining housekeeping standards in both the work area and maintenance shop.
