About the Role
Omega Tool Corp, a long-established global specialist in plastics tooling engineering and manufacturing, is looking for a Mold Finisher to join its expanding team in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The company has been supporting complex tooling and plastic part challenges for major OEM and Tier 1 customers for more than four decades.
This position focuses on completing the final benching of mold components to deliver a high-quality finish that meets or surpasses customer expectations. The role also requires adherence to provincial and federal laws, internal handbook rules, health and safety standards, and ISO quality procedures.

Responsibilities
- Use and care for power tools during mold finishing work
- Bench core verticals and EDM areas from ribs
- Remove burrs and blend ejection areas smoothly
- Stone parting lines, pockets, locks, and molding surfaces flat
- Sand locks and split lines using disc or palm tools
- Take part in tryouts and customer service visits, including local or out-of-town day and overnight travel
- Complete final preparation of all components for assembly
- Collect data needed for molding and seal-off work
- Carry out high-polish finishing tasks
- Finish cavities to 1000-grit emery standard
- Adjust the size of gates, slots, and pins
- Bench welded surfaces to required standards
- Track and manage jobs from the beginning through completion
Requirements
- Enrollment in OYAP and/or completion of post-secondary studies, or completion of secondary school plus a four-year apprenticeship, or a college diploma in manufacturing or a related area
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Flexible attitude with a willingness to adapt positively to change
- Good problem-solving and forward-planning ability
- Hands-on experience using heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes
- Must be able to follow legal, safety, and ISO quality requirements
