Where you'll work
Job description
About the Role
Allevia Radiology is a major provider of advanced diagnostic imaging and treatment services in New Zealand, operating 16 branches across greater Auckland. Known previously as Mercy Radiology, the organisation has supported patients and referrers for more than 40 years and has been part of several national imaging firsts, including the country’s first MRI scanner and first dedicated PET-CT facility. The focus is on delivering precise diagnoses and excellent patient care.
This is a permanent, full-time MRI Technologist position based mainly at the specialist MSK clinic in Greenlane. The successful candidate should also be open to working across other central locations when needed and may have the chance to maintain general x-ray skills if desired.
What You'll Do
You will carry out MRI work in a busy clinical environment, contributing to accurate imaging and high standards of patient care. The role also involves collaborating with radiologists, sonographers, and fellow technologists, while being capable of working both as part of a team and independently when required.
What You Need
Applicants must have a postgraduate qualification and at least 3 years of post-qualification MRI experience. You must hold NZ MRTB registration in MRI scope with a current APC. The role calls for strong technical radiography knowledge, a patient-centred approach, excellent interpersonal skills, a positive outlook, and the ability to stay effective in a fast-paced setting.
Work Culture
The team values open communication, mutual respect, and a healthy work-life balance. The organisation aims to create a positive environment where specialists and technologists can continue to develop and thrive professionally.
Benefits
Employees in this role receive 5 weeks of annual leave, support toward private health insurance, a generous CPD allowance plus leave, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, a parental leave return-to-work payment, free parking, staff discounts on services, complimentary seasonal flu vaccinations, a recruit-a-buddy scheme, and savings through the Boost programme on childcare, banking, gym memberships, e-bikes, and selected retail outlets.
