Job description

Role overview

Global Wave Group is hiring a multilingual SEO writer to strengthen organic visibility in overseas markets, improve brand recognition, and support client growth through search-led content. The position is based in Albany, Auckland, and is office-based. The role reports to the Global Marketing Manager.

What you will do

  • Research target keywords, identify gaps in the current keyword strategy, and turn findings into a practical content roadmap using SEMrush.
  • Create SEO-driven website content designed to increase organic traffic, with publishing handled through WordPress.
  • Improve on-page SEO across website content, including titles, meta elements, H1–H3 structure, internal linking, schema markup, and image alt text.
  • Track content performance through tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Google Analytics, then adjust the plan based on results.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a subject that relies heavily on strong writing or business communication, such as English, Journalism, PR, Linguistics, Technical Communications, Law, or a similar field.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience producing keyword-focused website content.
  • Hands-on experience publishing content in WordPress and working with common SEO plugins.
  • Practical experience using SEMrush for keyword research and content planning.
  • Very strong English fluency at C1/C2 level or IELTS 7+.
  • Native-level fluency in one of the following languages: Malay, Arabic, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, or Vietnamese.
  • Working knowledge of Forex trading and CFDs.
  • Applicants should be prepared for an in-person offline writing assessment during the interview process.

Additional information

The working language for day-to-day communication, including emails and internal conversations, is English. However, the content itself will mainly be written in a non-English language that matches the candidate’s native-level language ability.
