Job description

Role Overview

Residence Place Mont Roc is looking for a part-time Night Shift Attendant to support residents during overnight and weekend shifts. The role is meant to be filled right away and focuses on delivering care services safely, efficiently, and in line with the residence’s operating policies and procedures.

Key Duties

  • Respond to residents’ day-to-day needs and provide assistance whenever required.
  • Prepare food and serve meals in the dining area according to established routines.
  • Carry out resident laundry tasks as part of the normal work process.
  • Keep workspaces and storage areas tidy, secure, and sanitary.
  • Maintain resident common areas following the prescribed work schedule and standards.
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with the residence’s medication policies and procedures.
  • Handle additional duties connected to the role as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience in a similar role is considered an advantage.
  • Completion of secondary school or an equivalent level of education is required.
  • Post-secondary training in a related care field, such as Personal Support Worker, Health Care Aide, or Developmental Services Worker, is an added benefit.
  • Ability to read, speak, and communicate clearly in both French and English.
  • Capability to understand and follow written as well as verbal instructions in French and English.
  • A genuine sense of empathy and awareness of seniors’ needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage conflict effectively.
  • Good planning and time-management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • A consistently high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.

Schedule

The position involves night and weekend shifts.
