Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of order management solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Build and support Spring Boot-based Java microservices and middleware components that enable system integrations.
  • Contribute to or own end-to-end OMS architecture design and implementation for projects starting from the ground up.
  • Work across core OMS flows such as STH, SFS, BOPIS, BORIS, 3PL, and drop ship scenarios.
  • Design and integrate inventory workflows that provide near real-time availability data to commerce and store-facing channels.
  • Support publishing of inventory and availability information to ecommerce, social commerce, POS, and related consumer channels.
  • Integrate OMS with external platforms and third-party systems, including payment gateways and fraud-check services.
  • Apply cloud-native services such as API gateways, serverless functions, and messaging/event systems like EventBridge, Event Bus, Kafka, or Kinesis.
  • Use distributed caching approaches to improve performance and responsiveness in integration-heavy systems.
  • Collaborate in agile delivery environments and manage work effectively through JIRA.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of OMS experience, along with hands-on experience building enterprise-grade Spring Boot Java microservices and middleware for integrations.
  • Preferred experience of 5 or more years working with the Blue Yonder OMS platform.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing a complete OMS architecture for at least one project from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of key OMS processes and capabilities, including STH, SFS, BOPIS, BORIS, 3PL, and drop ship.
  • Solid knowledge of inventory flow management and real-time availability calculations within OMS ecosystems.
  • Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; AWS has added preference.
  • Familiarity with common cloud services such as API gateways, serverless compute, and message broker/event services.
  • Working knowledge of REST, JSON, GraphQL, and Swagger for API design and documentation.
  • Experience integrating with APIs and external third-party systems, especially payment and fraud validation services.
  • Understanding of caching technologies such as Spring cache, EhCache, or Redis.
  • Good grasp of retail business processes and domain concepts.
  • Comfort with agile delivery practices and the JIRA workflow.
